The Firm

A litigation practice built on results — and on a reputation for taking the hard cases.

Established in 1982, the Law Offices of William R. Satterberg, Jr. has been an active litigation firm in Alaska, involved in cutting-edge cases throughout its existence. The firm accepts both civil and criminal litigation.

In civil litigation, the firm places particular emphasis on personal injury and wrongful death cases. In criminal law, it has handled several landmark cases in the area of constitutional rights, and has been involved in major state and federal criminal defense matters — from violent crimes to drug, economic, and computer crimes.

Representative clients have included individuals, businesses, insurance companies, construction companies, Alaska Native regional and surface corporations, municipal and state governmental entities, and overseas clientele in both the Far East and Europe.

Admitted to the Alaska Bar in 1976 and a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law — where he spent his second year at the University of Notre Dame’s London law program — Mr. Satterberg is joined by associate attorney Meredith Morris, along with a strong paralegal, secretarial, and accounting staff.

The firm prides itself on being a service firm that is user-friendly to its clients — because without that most important element, the firm could not exist.
